About the team
What is Modern?
PhilSA Modern is a competitive dance team that is known for not sticking to one specific style. The team dances at two major performances every year: Isang Mahal in the fall & Goodphil in the spring. In addition, they also perform at other events on campus, such as APIDA City Limits, CSA NiHowdy, TASA Night Market, as well as collaborate with organizations at other universities.

How to Join
For the fall semester, there are no auditions. Anyone is free to join as long as they make one of the first practices. For the spring semester, audition schedules will be posted at the beginning of the semester on Instagram and Discord. If you have any questions about joining Modern, please DM @tamumodern on Instagram.
Modern Workshops
Looking to dance casually, expand your skills, or just meet new people? Come out to Modern's free workshops! Everyone from all levels of dance are welcome, from experienced to beginner. Workshop schedules are posted on Instagram and are hosted in both the fall and spring semester.
